Manager, SOX Controls & Transformation

Robert Half has teamed up with one of their successful clients on their search for a detail-oriented accounting and finance professional to lead SOX control oversight and support internal control initiatives and financial transformation efforts. As the Manager, SOX Controls & Transformation you will maintain the SOX internal control framework, evaluate financial reporting risks, assist with ERP implementations, create and develop performance metrics and dashboards, develop risks assessments, perform accurate testing, update risk controls, plan and coordinate internal and external audits, and oversee SOX projects. The ideal Manager, SOX Controls & Transformation should have the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Primary Duties

·Oversee SOX controls and compliance activities to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements

·Support the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)

·Assess control effectiveness, identify gaps, and coordinate remediation efforts to address deficiencies

·Partner with accounting, finance, and cross-functional teams to enhance internal control processes and improve operational efficiency

·Assist with financial transformation initiatives focused on strengthening controls, standardizing processes, and improving reporting accuracy

·Maintain supporting documentation and prepare materials for internal and external audits.

·Identify opportunities to streamline control procedures and implement process improvements that support the organization's evolving business needs

·Train employees on SOX development programs

The ideal Manager, SOX Controls & Transformation will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.

Other requirements for the Manager, SOX Controls & Transformation role include and are not limited to:

·3+ years of SOX Controls oversight

·Demonstrated experience with ICFR frameworks, control testing, and remediation processes

·OneStream experience a big plus

·Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
