Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Shift Details

• Shift: Days/Evenings
• Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Timing: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications.
• Must comply with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable nursing standards.
• Required skills and experience in Craniotomy and Retina procedures.
• Must be willing to take call.
• Must be willing to float as a sitter and participate in rotational floating assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care.
• Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Document assessments, interventions, care plans, and patient responses accurately.
• Evaluate discharge plans and identify patient education needs.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee care provided by assistive personnel.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support effective patient outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with nursing standards and policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and performance evaluation activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of clinical workflows, evidence-based practices, and nursing procedures.
