Job Summary
The Independent Living part time Housekeeper will perform housekeeping duties of a detailed nature that ensure a high standard of cleanliness and optimal appearance of all areas. This position requires housekeeping and cleaning of all offices, laundry rooms, outdoor patios, restrooms, lobby, and common areas as needed. The position also requires housekeeping and laundry duties for residents on the all-inclusive plan.
Essential Duties include:
- Dusting and vacuuming of all hallway and office areas, furniture, pictures, lights, railings, silk plants and vacuuming of carpeted areas, as well as the mopping of floors in public restrooms, Marketing Apartment restroom, laundry rooms, and other non-carpeted areas.
- Clean 2 public restrooms and Marketing Apartment restroom (toilets, sinks, mirrors) on a daily basis to uphold a high level of cleanliness and sanitizing as well as restocking of paper towels, toilet tissue, and emptying of wastebaskets.
- Clean and maintain by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping hallway floors, floor mats, common area floors (including Lobby, Manor Dining Room, Gathering Place, Fireside Room, Hair Salon) in the building.
- Cleaning and dusting of lobby area and mail area, including emptying of all waste baskets.
- Cleaning, dusting and organizing of Gathering Place/Fireside Room, keeping the counter and sink clean, sanitary and free of clutter.
- Cleaning of all Manor laundry rooms and Garden apartment Laundry Room which include floors, washers and dryers, and checking on lint accumulation in dryers.
- Cleaning of all Common Area interior windows, sills, verticals on a regular basis.
- Cleaning of outside lobby area and lobby area and patio areas (including patio furniture) when needed.
- Clean all-inclusive apartments weekly, including dusting, vacuuming, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, resident laundry, stripping and re-making beds. Detail clean twice annually.
- Responsible for the proper care and safe use of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a clean and organized supply area and notifies Manager of needed supplies.
- Identifies maintenance and safety needs and reports those to the Manager.
- Assist and performs other duties as needed
