The ideal candidate brings strong collection experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work with data, billing records, and customer communications in a fast-paced advertising environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a designated portfolio of receivables and work toward meeting established monthly cash collection targets.
• Proactively contact customers regarding overdue balances, obtain firm payment commitments with specific dates and amounts, and document all updates accurately in Oracle.
• Review aging reports and weekly account lists to prioritize collection efforts by risk, balance size, and delinquency status, then execute a focused daily outreach plan.
• Investigate customer questions related to outstanding invoices by providing statements, billing details, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Identify the reason behind delayed payments, apply the appropriate classification, and update account records so collection activity reflects current account conditions.
• Partner with account leaders and credit management on high-visibility accounts to align communication plans and improve recovery outcomes.
• Drive resolution of disputes, deductions, short payments, and billing issues by coordinating with billing, sales, service operations, and cash application teams until the item is cleared or formally closed.
• Analyze spreadsheets, remittance details, and payment records to reconcile balances, locate unapplied or misapplied cash, and help ensure corrections are completed promptly.
• Use customer billing and accounts payable portals to submit invoices, confirm receipt, obtain purchase order details, and verify expected payment timing.
• Monitor recurring payment barriers, recommend process improvements, and escalate accounts for credit hold, service interruption, write-off, or external recovery when appropriate and supported by documentation.• Experience in commercial and/or consumer collections with a solid understanding of accounts receivable processes.
• Working knowledge of collection procedures, billing follow-up, and methods for reducing past-due balances.
• Proficiency with Oracle or similar accounts receivable systems for documenting activity and reviewing account aging.
• Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile account discrepancies, and work effectively with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for handling customer interactions and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and other business applications used for reporting, communication, and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize follow-up actions, and meet deadlines.
