Commercial HVAC Mechanic

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our cultivation environments stay within strict climate tolerances to support healthy plant growth and high yields. Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems (air handlers, chillers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
• Calibrating systems to maintain precise temperature, humidity, and airflow
• Performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues
• Supporting system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements
• Maintaining accurate logs and ensuring compliance with cannabis industry regulations
• Collaborating with growers, maintenance staff, and facility managers

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone with a solid foundation in HVAC and a hunger to grow. Ideal candidates will have:

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC installation and service but will welcome those with more experience.
• Familiarity with chillers, dehumidifiers, air handlers, and building automation systems (BAS)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
• Experience working on Commerical/IndustrialAAON HVAC Hardware
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
• HVAC certification or technical training (preferred)
• Experience in agriculture, greenhouse, or cannabis environments is a plus but not required

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying conditions
• Willingness to work occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts

Bonus Points For

• Michigan Mechanical License
• Experience with CO2 systems and environmental sensors
• A proactive mindset and strong communication skills

Work Environment

You’ll split your time between cultivation rooms, mechanical spaces, and office areas. Expect a mix of hands-on technical work and collaboration with a passionate team that values quality, compliance, and innovation.
