Senior Mechanical Engineer - Mud Pump
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training)
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Salary: $110,000 - $118,000
Bonus: Up to 10% annual incentive bonus based on company performance
Relocation: Available for the right candidate
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience designing Mud Pumps, Positive Displacement Pumps, Frac Pumps, or similar pumping equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine design, product development, and mechanical system analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical equipment and pumping systems.
- Create detailed engineering models, drawings, and documentation.
- Perform stress analysis and engineering calculations.
- Conduct tolerance studies and design reviews.
- Develop and execute testing plans for components and systems.
- Select and specify mechanical components.
- Prepare engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams through all phases of product development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience designing:
- Mud Pumps
- Positive Displacement Pumps
- Frac Pumps
- Related pumping equipment
- Proficiency with CAD software such as Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an ISO or API Q1 manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with API 6A, 7K, or 8C standards.
- Experience with hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on mechanical or welding experience.
Travel
- Minimal travel.
- Occasional domestic travel and rare international travel.
