Location: Torrance, CA | Payrate: UP TO $39.46/hour | Schedule: 3rd shift
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Machinist to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components using mechanical equipment. This hands-on opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong mechanical skills, blueprint reading experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
What You'll Do
Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts and components.
Operate mechanical and manufacturing equipment.
Assemble parts into subassemblies and completed units.
Read and interpret blueprints, design sketches, and work instructions.
Verify finished components meet required dimensions and tolerances.
Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Operate powered industrial equipment when trained and required.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
4–6 years of related manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or assembly experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Knowledge of dimensional tolerances and common manufacturing practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to consistently follow established procedures and work instructions.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to approximately 30 lbs.
Ability to stand and perform manufacturing tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working around machinery and industrial equipment.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment as required.
