This key role will oversee financial operations and controls within our dealership, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and statements.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business objectives and provide insights to management.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff in daily tasks and professional development.

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar financial leadership role within the automotive industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.

```A well-established, high-volume automotive dealership is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Automotive Controller to oversee accounting operations and financial reporting.

We are looking for a detail-oriented financial professional with strong leadership skills, extensive automotive dealership accounting experience, and the ability to manage a fast-paced accounting department.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records, improving accounting processes, and ensuring financial compliance while supporting dealership profitability and growth.

• Oversee all daily accounting operations and financial activities for the dealership.

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and operating reports.

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure accurate reconciliation of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and schedules.

• Monitor cash flow, expenses, receivables, payables, and dealership profitability.

• Supervise, train, and develop accounting department personnel.

• Oversee vehicle inventory accounting, floorplan reconciliations, and manufacturer statements.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, manufacturer requirements, and applicable financial regulations.

• Work closely with dealership leadership to analyze financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.

• Identify and implement improvements to accounting procedures and operational efficiency.

• Previous automotive dealership Controller experience strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of dealership accounting practices and financial operations.

• Experience preparing and analyzing dealership financial statements.

• Knowledge of vehicle inventory accounting, floorplan financing, and manufacturer reporting.

• Proficiency with dealership management systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar platforms.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.

• Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
