Job Overview
We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 2+ years of litigation experience to handle a variety of complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience managing cases from initial pleadings through trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct discovery, including preparing discovery requests and responses.
- Manage court appearances, hearings, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Handle commercial and business litigation, trusts and estates disputes, employment matters, and general civil litigation.
- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties professionally.
- Manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities while maintaining high-quality legal work.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Illinois.
- Must have experience in Handling commercial and business litigation, trusts and estates disputes, employment matters, and general civil litigation.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and case management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.
