Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dependable Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team full-time.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is honest, trustworthy, hardworking, and capable of working independently. We need someone with strong diesel diagnostic and repair skills who can handle everything from routine servicing and DOT inspections to complete diesel engine overhauls.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform DOT inspections in accordance with Minnesota requirements.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify necessary repairs.
- Perform routine diesel maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication.
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and overhaul diesel engines.
- Perform major mechanical repairs, including complete motor overhauls.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect and repair brakes, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and other components.
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate DOT inspection, service, and repair records.
- Keep vehicles and equipment operating safely and reliably.
- Work independently and complete assigned repairs from start to finish.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous professional diesel mechanic or heavy equipment repair experience required.
- Must be qualified to perform Minnesota DOT inspections.
- Must have your own tools.
- Experience performing diesel engine overhauls, rebuilds, and major mechanical repairs.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brake systems.
- Ability to handle routine maintenance through complex repairs.
- Must be self-motivated, dependable, honest, and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
