At EWI, our CDL Drivers/Operators do much more than drive. You’ll spend approximately 50–70% of your time out of the truck working alongside a crew at industrial job sites.
This is an active, physical position requiring you to repeatedly lift and carry 50–60 lbs throughout your shift, operate hand tools and equipment, and work in a variety of industrial environments. If you enjoy working with your hands, being part of a team, and having a job where every day is different, this could be a great fit.
No degree required.
What You'll Do:
Drive
- Operate company commercial vehicles and specialized equipment to and from job sites.
- Drive to planned projects and respond to emergency service calls.
- Safely operate a10-speed manual or automatic truck.
Work With Your Crew
- Spend50–70% of your shift outside the vehicleperforming hands-on industrial maintenance and labor.
- Work as part of a crew to complete environmental and industrial projects.
- Repeatedlylift, carry, move, and handle materials weighingup to 50–60 lbs.
- Operate hand tools, light machinery, and other equipment.
- Perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, gripping, and lifting.
- Follow all company, OSHA, and job-site safety requirements and wear required PPE.
- Perform basic care and light maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Take onadditional duties as needed to support the crew and project.

- Outdoor and industrial work in varying weather and temperatures
- Potential exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, and high noise levels
What You Bring:
Required:
- ValidClass A or Class B CDL
- 2+ years of driving experience
- 3+ years of general labor, construction, or similar hands-on experience
- Ability to safely drive a10-speed manualor automatic truck
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong teamwork, communication, adaptability, and time-management skills
- Commitment to following safety procedures and using required PPE
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Tanker endorsement required before your first day
- HAZMAT endorsement highly preferred
