We’re hiring a Collections Specialist to join a growing banking/financial services team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1+ year of experience in collections, loan servicing, credit administration, or banking who wants a long-term opportunity.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage delinquent consumer loan accounts through inbound and outbound calls
- Work with borrowers to understand payment issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Set up approved payment arrangements, extensions, hardship programs, and other assistance options
- Explain account balances, payments, loan terms, and available options
- Accurately document borrower conversations, payment commitments, and follow-up actions
- Monitor accounts and follow established collection and escalation processes
- Identify accounts requiring special handling, including bankruptcy, fraud, disputes, SCRA, or legal review
- Perform approved skip tracing and contact research when needed
- Meet established productivity, quality, and portfolio performance expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in consumer loan collections, loan servicing, credit administration, banking, or a related financial services role
- Understanding of consumer loans and delinquent account management
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable discussing payments and financial situations professionally and respectfully
