As an Assistant Home Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring individual's homes remains a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. This position primarily supports second- and third-shift operations and serves as the on-call leader during these hours. Reporting directly to the Home Manager, you’ll collaborate with the care team to provide high-quality support and foster a culture of respect, consistency, and empowerment.

In this role, you’ll oversee second- and third-shift operations, ensuring the home runs smoothly and all residents receive the best care possible. You’ll be the go-to person for staff during these shifts, responding to call-ins, scheduling concerns, and any urgent needs that arise. Calm under pressure, you’ll provide real-time support for behavioral escalations, health and safety concerns, and other challenges, escalating serious issues to the Home Manager and leadership as needed.

Your leadership will help ensure staff consistently implement care plans, including Individual Plan of Service (IPOS), Behavior Treatment Plan, and crisis/safety procedures. You’ll observe staff performance, provide constructive coaching, and promote a culture where Kaci’s choices and communication are respected.

In addition to supporting staff, you’ll work closely with the team to create engaging routines and meaningful community activities that reflect each individual's interests and preferences. From meal preparation to outings, you’ll encourage opportunities for individuals to practice independence, communication, and social interactionalways honoring her choices and avoiding unnecessary pressure.

We’re looking for someone who brings both experience and heart to the role. Ideal candidates will have:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Direct Care Provider, lead staff, shift supervisor, home manager, or similar role.
• A background in supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, autism, or complex support needs.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to remain calm and solution-focused during high-pressure situations.
• A willingness to provide direct-care coverage when needed and complete all required training.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record (if driving is required).

In your first 60–90 days, success in this role means:

• Establishing a dependable on-call process for second and third shifts.
• Supporting staff with timely responses to call-ins, emergencies, and other needs.
• Improving communication and consistency across all shifts.
• Ensuring staff documentation is complete and accurate.
• Creating more meaningful and safely supported opportunities for individual's to thrive at home and in the community.
• Building a team culture where staff feel supported, trained, and clear on expectations.
