Duties
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems on various heavy equipment and vehicles
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and HVAC system checks to ensure equipment reliability
Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical diagnostics and equipment issues accurately
Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to support equipment repair or customization projects
Conduct heavy equipment operation when necessary for testing repairs or moving machinery safely around the worksite
Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements
Assist in construction machinery servicing including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment to maximize operational uptime
Skills
Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a focus on construction machinery maintenance
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and schematics interpretation
Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting procedures
Ability to perform precise automotive diagnostics along with diesel engine repair for various vehicle types including tractor-trailers and farm machinery
Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across multiple systems such as HVAC, air brakes, suspension alignment, and electrical systems
Experience working with OEM parts and understanding of construction equipment servicing standards
Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients
Bilingual a plus
