Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing piping systems used in commercial and industrial construction projects. This position requires the ability to read blueprints, work with various piping materials, and ensure all installations meet project specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for HVAC, mechanical, and plumbing applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and installation requirements.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipe as needed.
- Install supports, hangers, valves, fittings, and related equipment.
- Perform hydrostatic and pressure testing of piping systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.
- Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure work is completed according to project schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Pipefitter in commercial or industrial construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
- Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and other piping materials.
- Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical piping systems preferred.
- Strong math and measurement skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
