Commercial HVAC/R Service Manager

We're partnering with an established mechanical service company expanding into Austin, TX, and seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Manager to help launch and grow its new operation.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on technical leader who can troubleshoot complex systems, lead technicians, build customer relationships, and help grow a successful service operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop commercial HVAC/R technicians.
  • Troubleshoot and service commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Oversee repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacements.
  • Build relationships with commercial customers and facility managers.
  • Support business development and customer growth.
  • Manage technician productivity, service quality, labor costs, and profitability.
  • Help recruit and expand the Austin service team.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with commercial HVAC, rooftop units, refrigeration, and electrical controls.
  • Experience leading or mentoring technicians.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Understanding of labor costs, job costing, and target profit margins.
  • EPA Section 608 certification.
  • Ability to meet applicable Texas licensing requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building a growing operation.

Experience with supermarket refrigeration, rack systems, or industrial HVAC/R is a plus.

Senior technicians and lead technicians ready to step into management are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $105,000–$130,000 annual base salary.
