Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive computer-aided design (CAD) models and drawings that support the development of mechanical systems, products, and building projects. Your expertise will help translate conceptual ideas into detailed technical schematics, ensuring designs meet industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects across multiple disciplines, utilizing advanced CAD software and mechanical engineering principles to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D CAD drawings and 3D models for mechanical systems, assemblies, and components using industry-leading CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to interpret design requirements and translate concepts into accurate technical schematics and system designs.
- Support the review of CAD models for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with project specifications; perform revisions as needed.
- Maintain organized CAD libraries and PDM (Product Data Management) software for efficient version control and documentation management.
- Contribute to technical writing tasks related to design specifications, assembly instructions, or project reports.
Experience
- Proven experience in mechanical drafting with a strong portfolio of 2D CAD drafting and 3D CAD modeling for product design or system layout projects.
- Proficiency with multiple CAD software platforms including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Experience working within a collaborative team environment on complex projects involving mechanical systems or product development.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating clear documentation related to CAD drawings and system specifications.
