Runner – Hawksmoor Chicago

Chicago is the historical powerhouse of American beef, and when Hawksmoor found out about an actual powerhouse building, it felt like fate. So, after years of dreaming we've finally made it to Chicago!

The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful, designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cable car system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features to their former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager,looking for a brand-new Runner to join our team and support our second international restaurant in Chicago.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• To be part of the team running the restaurant, including, but not exclusively:
  oCorrect set up and break down of the restaurant daily
  oCorrect set up and break down of FOH kitchen area
  oMaintain and up –keep crockery and cutlery to the highest standard
  oTo relay and communicate between floor and kitchen
  oTo deliver food to tables from kitchen in the correct manner
  oEnsure service and hospitality standards are high and consistent
• A good understanding of:
  oProduct
  oPoints of service for the restaurant
  oRestaurant floor plan
  oKitchenandFood handling
  oFood Hygiene and Health and safety

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Experience working in some of the best restaurants in Chicago.
• Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
• Excellent food runner skills.
• knowledge of food and beverage.
• Highly professional with exacting standards.
