The Project Engineer supports the project managers running our fast-turn special projects work. You will keep the documentation accurate, track submittals and change orders, coordinate with general contractors and trade partners, and start learning to scope a job from a walk-through rather than a drawing set.
Special projects move differently from large contract work. Jobs run from a few hundred thousand dollars into the millions, they move fast, and there is often no complete set of prints to work from. Some of it comes directly from the owner and some through a general contractor. Our model favors people who came up through the field, because you have to see the install in your head before you can scope it, price it, or execute it. This role is where that skill gets built, working alongside project managers who came up the same way.

We recognize that experience comes from many paths. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in successful performance of the job is welcomed. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis, or vice versa.
This role is based in the office with frequent visits to active jobsites and client facilities. Work is primarily at a desk and on a computer, with regular time walking jobs to scope work and verify existing conditions. Site visits require personal protective equipment and bring exposure to noise, dust, and weather. Expect a fast-paced environment where priorities shift with client needs.
