Heavy Equipment Operator

Charleston, SC Area | Local Work Only | Weekly Pay | Overtime Available

A growing, well-established sitework and concrete contractor in the Charleston area is looking to add 2-3 Heavy Equipment Operators to the team due to increased project demand. • $22-$26/hr depending on experience
• Weekly pay
• Guaranteed 45 hours per week
• Typical schedule is 45-60 hours weekly
• Consistent overtime opportunities
• All projects are local to the Charleston market
• No travel required

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment on active sitework projects
• Move and grade bulk dirt safely and efficiently
• Operate loaders, rollers, brooms, and water trucks
• Assist with rough grading and maintaining haul roads
• Support excavation and earthmoving activities
• Work safely around dump trucks and other heavy equipment
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Jump between different pieces of equipment as project needs change

Experience with one or more of the following:

• Dozer
• Excavator
• Loader
• Roller
• Water Truck
• Broom/Sweeper

Fine grading is not a requirement for this role, but can be the difference in a couple dollars for an offer.

This is a Contract position based out of Summerville, SC.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
