Laundry Assistant – Part-Time

Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
Schedule: 10:00 PM–6:00 AM
Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday
Position Overview
Cedar Haven Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable Laundry Assistant to support our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential in maintaining resident comfort by ensuring linens and personal clothing are properly cleaned, organized, and returned in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Place soiled linens, including facility-owned and residents’ personal items, into washing machines following proper procedures
Fold or hang residents’ personal laundry and transport items to resident rooms
Distribute clean laundry to resident rooms promptly
Hang clothing in closets and place items neatly in drawers
Follow all laundry, safety, and infection control procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area
Qualifications
Previous experience in laundry, cleaning, maintenance, or a related field preferred
Familiarity with laundry equipment, cleaning materials, and supplies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work required shifts
