Child Watch Attendant

Create a fun, secure space for children while parents focus on their health and wellness! Spring Grove YMCA is seeking caring, high-energy Part-Time Child Watch Attendants to keep Child Watch running smoothly through play, activities, and upbeat, respectful interactions.

What you’ll do:
- Supervise and engage children with age-appropriate games, movement, and calm moments
- Use positive discipline and guidance, support clean-up/bathroom routines, and keep the room welcoming
- Follow basic safety, health, and infection-control procedures, including proper handwashing
- Complete documentation and incident reports and respond to emergencies using established procedures
- Communicate clearly with families and staff while maintaining confidentiality

What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 500 hours of experience working with children
- Current Adult & Pediatric CPR, AED & First Aid certification
- State police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances
- Mandated reporter training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, plus sound safety judgment
