Extrusion Mechanic - First Shift

Pay: $25.00-$30.00/hour, with potential up to $35.00-$38.00/hour for highly experienced extrusion maintenance professionals.
A growing manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Extrusion Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of extrusion production equipment. This role is critical to maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair extrusion lines and production equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Repair motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, drives, and industrial equipment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions
- Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Direct extrusion maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, drives, and industrial equipment
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
Preferred Experience
- PVC pipe manufacturing
- Continuous-process manufacturing environments
- PLC troubleshooting
- Welding and fabrication
