Low Voltage Installer

Description

Install, program, test, repairs, and service a variety of systems and equipment which may

include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation with minimal guidance as

needed.

Work closely with customers and internal colleagues in providing technical installation support

and training. May assist or train less experienced Electrical Installers. Refers more complex

issues to more experienced colleagues.

Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge

of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.

Provide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.

Act as our customers best service provider at all times

Take ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance.

Make suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.

Learn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade

program.

Provide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an

assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel

installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.

Solid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.

Solid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods,

system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support

installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).

Very familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to

determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex

specifications.

Strong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness

of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.

Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools

such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints

and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area,

velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
