Barback

The Galley Hatch, a family-owned restaurant in Hampton, New Hampshire, is looking for a dependable and motivated Barback to join our team. Since 1970, we've been serving the Seacoast community with fresh seafood, classic American favorites, and our famous in-house bakery, all while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

As a Barback, you'll play a vital role in keeping our bar running smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Restocking beverages, ice, and supplies to ensure bartenders are fully equipped.
• Washing glassware and maintaining cleanliness behind the bar.
• Clearing empty glasses and keeping the bar area organized.
• Supporting bartenders during service and learning the ropes of bar operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from seasoned bartenders, making it an ideal stepping stone for anyone interested in becoming a bartender.

We’re seeking candidates who are:

• At least 18 years old (required).
• Dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (preferred).

While previous restaurant experience is welcome, it’s not required. We’re happy to train someone with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude!
