Express Employment of Brighton is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a temporary opportunity with the potential to gain valuable experience in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment.
This is a temporary position, expected to last for
3-6 months.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay: $19-20/hour
Location: Howell, MI
Responsibilities
- Verify paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments
- Inspect products for quality before shipping
- Prepare orders for shipment, including boxing, palletizing, banding, and stretch wrapping
- Load and unload trucks
- Coordinate truck lines and shipments
- Prepare Bills of Lading and other shipping documentation
- Verify incoming product quality
- Assist with finished goods inventory and monthly inventory counts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Forklift experience and forklift operator license required
- Shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Experience with UPS and FedEx online shipping systems
- Ability to enter receiving information into Business Central software
- Strong attention to detail and paperwork accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other areas of the facility
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift approximately 40-50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility
- Comfortable regularly operating and getting on/off a forklift
