Sign Installer - Commercial Signage

City Signs is looking for a driven, sharp, hard-working person to join our installation team. We’re setting a high bar. We want someone who learns fast, pays attention to details, and takes ownership of their work. Sign experience isn’t required; we’ll teach the trade to the right person. What we can’t teach is work ethic and attitude, and that’s what we’re hiring for.

Our installers put up and service everything from storefront channel letters to large pylon and monument signs, illuminated and non-illuminated, indoors and out. It’s skilled, hands-on work, and the people who do it well take real pride in it. We’re looking for someone who wants to become one of the best installers in the region.

What you’ll learn and do

• Install, repair, and service electrical and non-electrical signs
• Operate bucket trucks, lifts, and power equipment safely
• Troubleshoot sign electrical systems
• Read installation drawings and site plans
• Dig footings and set posts for ground signs
• Represent City Signs professionally on customer job sites

Requirements

• Construction or trade experience (framing, electrical, concrete, fencing, landscaping, or similar hands-on work)
• Proficient and safe with hand and power tools
• Able to read and follow plans, drawings, or written instructions accurately
• Comfortable with basic math and measurements
• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in all conditions
• Able to lift 45+ lbs and handle physically demanding work
• Safety-minded

Helpful, but not required

• Sign installation experience
• Electrical experience or training
• Bucket truck, lift, or heavy equipment experience
• Military service or other work in a demanding, disciplined environment

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday. Some early, late, or occasional weekend jobs. Overtime as needed.

Since 1997, we’ve designed, fabricated, and installed custom signage for businesses across the Central Valley and beyond, from local shops to national brands. Our work includes channel letters, monument and pylon signs, illuminated cabinets, interior signage, and ongoing sign service and repair.

We’re a licensed C-45 electrical sign contractor and a UL-certified manufacturer. We handle every step in-house, from design and permitting to fabrication and installation. That means our team sees a project through from start to finish, and takes pride in the finished result.
