Precision CNC Production Machinist
Location: Onsite in Hillsboro, OR
A day in this role
As the shift starts at 3:15 pm, you’ll review travelers and blueprints, confirm job priorities, and stage tooling. You’ll load CNC programs, make minor edits when needed, and dial in work and tool offsets to hit first-piece quality. Throughout the evening, you’ll run precision components, measure features with calipers, micrometers, indicators, machinist scales, and tape measures, and compare every result against prints and company specifications. You’ll keep machines clean and coolant levels optimized, prepare parts for assembly with careful washing and deburring, and jump over to the sawyer area or a manual drill press or band saw if production needs it. Before the 11:45 pm close, you’ll tidy and organize the work area so the next run starts strong.
