Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer

Location: Englewood, CO
Pay Rate: $59.40/hour
Job Type:12 month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) Engineer to support the design, development, analysis, and testing of advanced aerospace systems. This role will work across complex engineering projects involving flight dynamics, guidance and navigation algorithms, simulations, related hardware, and flight software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and test GN&C algorithms and systems.
  • Perform engineering analysis, modeling, and simulation.
  • Support the development and evaluation of aerospace vehicles, sensors, and mission systems.
  • Analyze vehicle flight qualities, performance, and capabilities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
  • Support system modeling, trade studies, and analysis of alternatives.
  • Contribute throughout the product development lifecycle from concept through testing and maturation.
  • Apply aerospace engineering principles, flight dynamics, vehicle stability, and simulation techniques to complex development programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years of engineering experience.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, analysis, and simulation.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering and development teams.
  • Experience with system modeling tools.
  • Aerospace or Defense industry experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Experience with C++.
  • Experience developing Guidance and/or Navigation algorithms.
  • Experience with aerospace vehicles and sensor suites.
  • Knowledge of flight dynamics and vehicle stability principles.
  • Experience with Monte Carlo and trajectory analysis.
  • Knowledge of model-based definition and other industry-standard aerospace engineering practices.
  • Experience leading baseline definition and maturation in complex development environments.
  • Experience conducting integrated trade studies and analysis of alternatives.

Additional Information

This position is based in Englewood, Colorado and offers a rate of $59.40/hour. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance.
