Painter

Responsibilities

• Apply paint and coatings to walls and other surfaces on commercial construction projects using rollers, brushes, and spray guns.
• Back roll painted surfaces to ensure even coverage, proper adhesion, and a professional finish.
• Tape off and mask adjacent areas to protect surfaces from overspray, drips, and unintended paint coverage.
• Use hand tools and painting equipment correctly and safely throughout the workday.
• Work as part of a small team to complete painting tasks on schedule and keep pace with the drywall team and other trades.
• Follow project specifications, color standards, and instructions to achieve the required finish and appearance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of painting materials and tools.
• Inspect completed work for quality, touch up as needed, and communicate any issues or material needs to the team.
• Adhere to all site safety rules and commercial construction job site protocols.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of painting experience in a construction environment.
• Proficiency using paint rollers for walls and large surface areas.
• Proficiency using paint brushes for cutting-in and detailed work.
• Experience using spray guns or HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) equipment for painting.
• Ability to back roll painted surfaces to achieve a consistent finish.
• Ability to tape off and mask areas accurately before painting.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in painting and construction.
• Experience working on commercial construction job sites.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team and keep pace with other trades.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with drywall teams and other construction trades.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure clean lines and high-quality finishes.
• Ability to follow instructions and project specifications with minimal supervision.
• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts on active construction sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayden, ID.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
