Volt is immediately hiring for 1st Shift Electronic PCB Quality Control Inspector ($25- $28) in Lake Forest, CA

As an Electronic PCB Quality Control Inspector, you will:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of PCB assemblies, electronic components, and electromechanical products.
• Inspect solder joints, component placement, assemblies, and finished products using magnification equipment and precision measuring tools.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and product specifications using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and related inspection equipment.
• Complete inspection reports, quality documentation, and nonconformance records accurately.
• Review engineering drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and specifications to ensure product compliance.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve product quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with IPC standards, J-STD requirements, ISO 9001 practices, and internal quality procedures.
• Support first article, in-process, and final inspections within an electronics manufacturing environment.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3 to 5 years of Quality Control experience in PCB assembly manufacturing, or equivalent related experience.
• Experience within electronics, aerospace, semiconductor, EMS, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001 standards.
• Experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, work instructions, checklists, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Experience using microscopes, magnifiers, calipers, micrometers, multimeters, and other inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and documentation practices.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Active or previous J-STD certification.
• Experience identifying SMT components including BGA, QFP, SOT, and miniature package sizes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Experience performing detailed microscope-based inspections in high-volume electronics manufacturing environments.

Shift: 1st Shift, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
