Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in care delivery.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and document care accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care in the telemetry setting.
Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, in a hospital telemetry setting.
- Experience delivering coordinated nursing care according to standards and the nursing process, with demonstrated critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Supervisory responsibilities for nursing staff at multiple levels and effective coordination with other disciplines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a fast-paced, structured clinical environment.
- Telemetry-focused nursing experience is preferred to align with the specialty.
