Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a manufacturing organization in Golden, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can lead core accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support timely reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will play a key part in strengthening close processes, overseeing ledger integrity, and partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure audit readiness and financial accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly and year-end close activities to ensure financial results are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Oversee general ledger operations, including review of entries, account analysis, and resolution of discrepancies.

• Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation to maintain complete and reliable financial records.

• Perform and supervise account reconciliations, investigating variances and correcting issues promptly.

• Coordinate audit support activities by organizing schedules, responding to requests, and ensuring documentation is complete.

• Monitor accounting workflows and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting quality.

• Partner with operations and finance teams to provide insight into accounting impacts within the manufacturing environment

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background in month-end close and full-cycle general ledger management.
• Demonstrated experience preparing journal entries and completing detailed account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with financial statement audits and supporting external audit processes.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally within textile manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a contract-based role.
