NOW HIRING: Forklift Operator – Day Shift
Location: Canaan, CT
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Hours: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. | 12-hour shifts
Schedule: Rotating 2-3 day schedule, including weekends
A-Line Staffing is hiring a Forklift Operator in Canaan, CT! In this role, you’ll safely move pallets throughout a distribution center, load and unload trucks, and use scanning equipment to keep inventory accurate.
Job Responsibilities
- Load and unload palletized products from trucks.
- Move and store pallets in warehouse racks and designated storage areas.
- Retrieve full pallets for orders and replenish products where needed.
- Operate equipment such as high-reach forklifts, counterbalance forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and dock stockers.
- Use a handheld RF scanner and warehouse management system to record product movements.
- Check that products remain secure and undamaged during handling.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Learn other warehouse duties and provide backup support as needed.
Qualifications
- Intermediate operating experience with either a high-reach or counterbalance forklift is required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Candidates without a diploma or GED must have at least one year of relevant experience.
- Experience using Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a rotating schedule, including weekends.
- Safety shoes and a safety vest are required.
