Job Description

Experienced Apartment Turnover / Maintenance Worker – Part-Time to Full-Time

We are looking to hire an experienced, dependable maintenance/labor worker for apartment turnovers and general property maintenance throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey, and surrounding areas. This position will start part-time with the opportunity to transition into full-time work for the right person.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with references
  • Proficient in light plumbing, including diverters, shut-off valves, and similar repairs
  • Experienced with spackling, Sheetrock/drywall patching, skim coating, and general wall repair
  • Must be a solid, experienced painter
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required no motorcycles or scooters. You must have at least a car capable of transporting basic materials and supplies
  • Must be dependable, professional, and able to work independently
  • Must be able to pass a reasonable criminal background check, as some work will be performed inside occupied apartments
  • Must provide a completed W-9 and will be issued a 1099. All work and payments are properly documented no cash or under-the-table arrangements

Pay Structure:

Starting rate is $200 per day for the first few days.

If you demonstrate that you have the required experience and can perform the work properly, the rate will increase to $225 per day the following week.

After approximately 3 weeks, dependable workers who consistently show up, complete the work, and demonstrate the necessary skill level may be increased to $250 per day.

We pay a day rate per individual worker. We are looking for an individual who wants steady work and an opportunity to grow with us not a large painting or contracting company looking to send out a crew.

Most of the work involves apartment turnovers, including painting, drywall repairs, patching, light plumbing, and general maintenance. Some work may also take place in occupied units, so professionalism and respect for tenants are important.

We are looking to hire ASAP, with work potentially starting next week.

If interested, please send your resume/work history along with references. Please include a brief description of your experience with apartment turnovers, painting, drywall, and light plumbing.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced, reliable person looking for consistent work and the potential to move into a full-time position.
