About the Role
We’re seeking a Logistics Specialist II to support the preparation, documentation, coordination, and tracking of logistics materialsincluding spares, tools, test equipment, repair parts, and related manualsfor deployment and stocking. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate equipment and parts records, coordinating compliant shipping activities (domestic and global), and ensuring proper allocation of materials across storage facilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on logistics/inventory experience, is comfortable working in inventory/shipping databases, and can operate safely in a regulated, safety-sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and associated manuals.
- Route, document, and coordinate shipping logistics in support of deployment and stocking needs.
- Maintain records for equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Track logistics materials and parts to support proper allocation and organization within storage facilities.
- Coordinate shipping activities in compliance with state, federal, and global regulations, including import/export requirements.
- Ensure shipping and handling processes align with safety-sensitive requirements and site procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently: walk, sit, stand, climb stairs/steps.
- Frequently: repeat hand/arm/finger motions; requires strong finger/hand dexterity.
- Frequently: vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
- Occasionally: hearing requirements including distinguishing tones and volume.
- Frequently: lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (heat/cold, sun, rain/snow, etc.).
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise environments.

- Ensuring the safety and security of people and/or property.
- Inspecting, handling, or transporting hazardous materials.
- Inspecting structures, equipment, or vehicles.
- Performing aviation-related duties.
- Operating or supervising vehicles, heavy equipment, dangerous equipment, or machinery.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, inventory, shipping, supply chain, or related work (additional education may substitute for experience; related experience may be considered in lieu of required education).
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Basic understanding of inventory and supply chain/logistics principles and techniques.
- Experience working with inventory databases.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
- HazMat training/certification.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience with shipping databases/platforms (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS).
- Current CDL with a clean driving record.
- Understanding of shelf-life controlled material.
- Background in Aerospace & Defense, the U.S. Department of Defense, or the U.S. Military.
