FORKLIFT OPERATOR
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experiencedForklift Operatorfor a company based in Mobile, AL. In this position, you will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
Pay Rate
$18- $20per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday,7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Forklift Operator Duties andResponsibilities
•Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
•Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
•Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, andwork stationsneat; sweep, dust and mop.Organize warehouse andwork area for orderliness at all times
•Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
•Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
Forklift OperatorQualificationsandRequirements
•3 - 5 years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
•3+ years of forklift experience
•Forklift Certification required
•Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus
•Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
•Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
•Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
•A minimum of 40 hours per week
•Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with the proper lifting equipment)
•Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
•Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
•Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
•Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
