General Laborer

Join our team to perform general labor duties across two facilities where we prepare soups, broths, seasonings, and package pet food. As a General Laborer, you will assist in cooking, packing, loading, and unloading materials within a dynamic environment.

• Assistant Cook: Work closely with cooks in a hot environment, lifting up to 50 lbs to create dog food or soups.
• Case Packer: Load and unload trucks, bring raw materials to assistant cooks, and lift 30+ pounds.
• Loader/Unloader: Frequently lift 30+ pounds and move packaged soups around the facility.
• Utility: Perform a combination of duties across roles, acting as a 'Floater'.

• Experience in food preparation, food production, and packaging.
• Ability to perform loader utility tasks.
• Proficiency in general labor and production line sorting.

• Knowledge in general help, mixing, and batching.

Work in a non-climate controlled facility, maintaining a temperature of around 75 degrees. The environment adheres to GMP standards, requiring a smock, hairnet, and safety glasses. Shifts include 1st shift from 5:00am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2:00am, with 10 hours of overtime currently available. Weekend work is voluntary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Janesville, WI.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
