Seasonal Floral and Site Decor Assistant Job Description
Wage: $15-18/hour
Shift: Seasonal. 20-30 hours per week. Hours will vary depending on event schedule.

Summary:Thanksgiving Point is seeking a Seasonal Floral & Site Dcor Assistant to support our Floral & Site Dcor team during peak event and holiday seasons. This position is ideal for floral design students or individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a high-volume event floral and dcor environment while working alongside experienced floral professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Pull, organize, and prepare floral and dcor materials for events, weddings, and seasonal installations.
- Assist with processing, conditioning, and maintaining fresh flowers and greenery.
- Prepare containers, vessels, candles, mechanics, and dcor elements for production and installation.
- Support floral designers with bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony florals, and other arrangements.
- Assist with large-scale floral and dcor installations throughout Thanksgiving Point venues and grounds.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize flowers, dcor, tools, and event materials.
- Help with event setup, dcor placement, styling, and strike.
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces, storage areas, and inventory.
- Assist with holiday displays, seasonal dcor installations, and special projects.
- Follow production schedules and event timelines to ensure successful execution.
- Work collaboratively with the Floral & Site Dcor team and other event departments.
- Represent Thanksgiving Point professionally when interacting with guests, vendors, and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Interest in floral design, event production, interior dcor, or a related creative field.
- Floral design coursework, education, or previous experience preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced floral professionals.
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work on ladders as needed.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event-based schedules.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must pass a background check.
