This opportunity is ideal for a proven field leader who understands heavy civil construction, drives production, and takes ownership of safety, quality, schedule, and field performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead field operations for highway, bridge, and heavy civil construction projects.
- Direct and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and daily construction activities.
- Manage project sequencing, manpower, equipment, and production requirements.
- Maintain project schedules and drive work to completion.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and operations leadership.
- Identify field issues early and implement practical solutions.
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and field execution.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
- Provide strong leadership and accountability across field teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent or comparable field leadership experience in heavy civil construction.
- Proven experience with highway and/or bridge construction.
- Strong knowledge of heavy civil field operations, construction sequencing, and heavy equipment.
- Experience leading crews, subcontractors, and complex field operations.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality, and production.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make sound field decisions and keep projects moving.
Required Skills
