Behavioral Health Clinician

VICTA is seeking fee-for-service counselors to provide treatment at our Elmwood Avenue location. Flexible schedule, set your own hours and work with a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care!

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling to support mental health, emotional wellness, and personal growth.
• Help persons served to identify goals, develop action plans, build self-awareness, and strengthen coping skills.
• Deliver holistic, person-centered care addressing substance use, anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, family dynamics, relationships, and other behavioral health concerns.
• Develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans; document progress, barriers, and all client contacts accurately and promptly.
• Assess suicide and homicide risk and coordinate appropriate interventions, referrals, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical and medical teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate, organized, and timely documentation in compliance with clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements.
• Prepare case reviews, discuss high-risk cases, conduct monthly peer reviews, and complete reports for third-party reimbursement, legal proceedings,and specialized treatment needs.
• Participate in community outreach, marketing, public education, staff training, and professional development activities.
• Support clinic compliance with state regulations and CARF standards while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

VICTA is a one-stop shop for comprehensive care in an outpatient clinic setting. A continuum of substance use, mental health, and medical treatment services is offered in our therapeutic environment. These services are designed and implemented on an individualized basis to support the recovery, health, and overall wellbeing of all persons served. We believe that an integrated approach to treatment is the most effective way to enhance the quality of life of the person(s) served, to reduce symptoms and build resilience, to restore and/or improve functioning, and to support our community members in achieving their full potential.
