Design Engineer (New College Graduate)

Position Summary

Diodes Incorporated isseekinga highly motivatedDesign Engineerto support the development ofintegrated circuit design with AI assistance.This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree inElectrical Engineering (EE)orElectrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)who has foundational experience in circuit design,circuitlayout, device physics, agentic AI, and laboratory-based engineering projects.

The Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers on theintegrated circuitdesign, simulation,layout,testing, and validation of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits while gaining exposure to product developmentcyclefrom concept through production.

This position islocatedat the Diodes Office in Milpitas, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design,layout,simulation, and validation of analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuits.
  • Develop and executeapplicationtestbenchto characterize circuit and system performance.
  • Analyze test data and prepare technical reportsand design documentation.
  • Developagentic AIscripts using Python to automate testing, data analysis, and engineering workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Applications Engineering, and Test Engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree inElectrical Engineering,Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, or related fieldwith GPA3.5 GPA
  • Recent college graduate
  • Fundamentalunderstandingany ofthefollowing:
  • Analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or project experience in:
  • Analog IC design, mixed-signal design
  • Semiconductor devicephysicsand basic transistor operation
  • Familiarity with circuitdesign andsimulation toolsand platforms
  • SPICE,Matlaband alike
  • Cadence, Synopsys, and alike
  • Experience with Verilog, VHDL, C/C++, oradditionalprogramming languages.
  • Participation/experiencesintegrated circuit design orsemiconductorrelated projects.

Theanticipatedannual base salary range for this position is$100,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation will bedeterminedbased on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, location, and business needs. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. This salary rangerepresentsthe Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation itreasonably expectsto pay for this position at the time of posting.
