Job Description

ABOUT STONEHAVEN

StoneHaven Construction & Development is a multigenerational real estate development and construction company rooted in Northern Nevada. Together with Tanamera, our founding family’s development company, our leadership’s legacy includes more than $2.8 billion in real estate development in this market. Our team brings experience across the entire site development lifecycle: initial review, plan development, city entitlement, and full service general contracting.

We work differently than most contractors. Rather than chasing hard bids, we engage early and serve as a single point of contact from site acquisition through closeout. We help clients evaluate the site, shape the plans, carry the project through city entitlement, and build it under our own full Nevada B license with an unlimited bid limit. Our clients get a partner who understands their project as a real estate investment, not just a set of drawings. Our work includes luxury custom residential, residential additions, ground up commercial, commercial tenant improvements, medical and imaging facilities, hospitality, and multifamily.

THE ROLE

As StoneHaven grows, we are creating a dedicated role to lead new business development. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the front end of our pipeline: building relationships, generating warm introductions, and bringing qualified opportunities to our principals. Once a client is engaged, our principals and project teams take the lead on delivery, so your focus stays where it belongs: on the next opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial real estate brokers, architects, engineers, developers, lenders, healthcare groups, business owners, and luxury residential agents.
  • Generate warm introductions and coordinate meetings between prospective clients and StoneHaven’s principals.
  • Identify both construction and development opportunities across Reno, Sparks, and Carson City, with selective opportunities in Truckee.
  • Lead and grow our commercial agent referral program and broker outreach efforts.
  • Represent StoneHaven at industry organizations, networking events, and community functions.
  • Watch the market for early signals, including land listings, planning agendas, tenant relocations, and business expansions.
  • Track activity and opportunities and create a CRM system to report pipeline progress to leadership.
  • Where your background allows, support early budgeting and preconstruction efforts, while keeping new business the priority.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Outside sales / new business development experience.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative to network, promote the brand, and create opportunities without waiting to be told where to go.
  • A polished, professional presence that reflects the caliber of the firm in every room you walk into.
  • Construction experience is welcome but not required. Backgrounds in commercial real estate, architecture and design, banking, title, or professional services sales translate well.
  • An established network in Northern Nevada is a strong plus.
  • Estimating or preconstruction experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Disciplined follow-up, clear communication, and comfort working mostly in the field.

Job Type: Full-Time; Exempt.

Work Location: Reno, NV office and out in the field.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Competitive base salary plus commission on the business you bring in, with meaningful earning potential for strong performers.

  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • PTO (Holiday / Vacation)
  • Vehicle and Phone Allowances
  • An expense account for client development and professional association dues.
