Field Operations & Installation Assistant

DeForest Tech Solutions (DTS) is a San Diego-based technology integration company specializing in audio/video systems, networking, security, access control, telecommunications, and technical support for churches, schools, and commercial facilities.

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hardworking individual to support our field technicians and daily operations.

This is a hands-on position involving jobsite assistance, equipment preparation, materials handling, deliveries, vehicle organization, and general installation support.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with installation preparation, cable pulls, equipment handling, and general jobsite activities.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, including vacuuming drilling debris, removing packaging, and protecting finished surfaces.
• Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites.
• Prepare and stage equipment and materials for upcoming installations.
• Maintain organized, stocked service vehicles.
• Receive shipments, organize warehouse inventory, and track equipment.
• Assist with loading, unloading, setup, and breakdown of event production equipment.
• Perform other field support tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative.
• Comfortable using hand tools and performing physical work.
• Able to safely lift and move equipment, with assistance or equipment where appropriate.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Willingness to travel between jobsites throughout San Diego & Imperial County.
• Construction, electrical, low-voltage, warehouse, or event production experience is helpful but not required.
