Position Title: Construction Project Manager
Location: Maryville, TN
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm EST
Duration: 6-Month Contract, Potential to Extend
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a top automotive manufacturing client. This candidate will manage multiple active construction projects while owning project safety, budgets, schedules, contractor coordination, and day-to-day execution. They will partner closely with internal departments and external vendors, lead weekly progress meetings, track purchasing and project milestones, resolve field issues, and ensure established construction and safety standards are maintained from project kickoff through punch-list completion. This is a hands-on, fully onsite opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced industrial environment and is comfortable overseeing contractor activities, including occasional weekend and holiday work.
Day-to-Day:
- Manage active construction projects from execution through completion
- Oversee contractor activities and ensure safe work practices
- Track and maintain project budgets
- Manage project schedules and timekeeping
- Resolve day-to-day construction and project issues
- Coordinate with internal departments to define required work
- Create and track purchase requisitions
- Conduct weekly project progress meetings
- Create and manage project punch lists
- Maintain construction standards throughout project execution
- Assist other project managers/team members when necessary
- Oversee contractor work occurring on weekends or holidays
- Travel to other locations for project management support as needed
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of project management experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable managing a high-volume project workload
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments and external vendors/contractors
- Ability to oversee contractor work during weekends and holidays as required
- Ability to travel to other locations when project support is needed
Plusses:
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification
- PMP certification
