Occupational Therapist School Setting in Springfield, VT

Key Requirements:

• Valid Vermont OT Certificate required
• Previous school-based OT or COTA experience preferred
• Comfort working across multiple grade levels (K-12), including 5th-12th and some 2nd-4th grades
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, families, and students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students across four district schools
• Assess student needs, develop treatment plans, and document progress
• Consult regularly with teachers and special education teams to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in developing student-centered goals
• Provide direct and indirect services as outlined in students’ IEPs
• Maintain appropriate documentation and follow district procedures

This position is a full-time contract running from late August to mid-June, offering 35-37.5 hours per week. Both licensed Occupational Therapists and certified Occupational Therapy Assistants are welcome to apply, as the district can accommodate either to ensure student needs are met under proper supervision.
