Certified Pharmacy Technician - Onsite Natchitoches, Louisiana
Role and Responsibilities
The CRX Pharmacy Technician is responsible for maintaining an effective and professional relationship with clients and patients while positively representing CRX Specialty Solution Pharmacy.
- Verifyandcheckprescriptionclaimdataforemployergroups.
- Manage calls from members, HR, and Doctors’ offices to assist in initiating prior authorizations and otherneeds.
- Receive dosage changes, prior authorizations, Variable Co Pay eligibility checks, and questions over thephoneand verify validity.
- Assistinreprocessingclaims inourprocessingsystem,ifappropriate.
- CollaboratewithPharmacistsandDoctorofficerstoassistinadministeringpriorauthorizationsandotherneeds.
- Receiveverbalrefillandoverriderequestsandverifythatinformationiscompleteandaccuratewithdoctoroffices,TPAs and/or HR.Consult withpharmacist when necessary.
- Maintainspharmacyinventorybycheckingpharmaceuticalstocktodetermineinventorylevel;anticipatingneeded medications and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdateddrugs.
- Maintainsasafeandcleanpharmacybycomplyingwithprocedures,rules,andregulations.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions;preparinglabels;calculatingquantities;assemblingintravenoussolutionsandotherpharmaceuticaltherapies.
- Maintainsrecordsbyrecordingandfilingphysicians'ordersandprescriptions.
- Ensuresmedicationavailabilitybydeliveringmedicationstopatientsanddepartments.
- Preparesreportsbycollectingandsummarizinginformation.
- Contributestoteameffortby accomplishingrelatedresultsasneeded.
- Multi-taskbetweenmultipleCRxandSouthernScriptsworkforceapplications
- AbidebyallobligationsunderHIPAArelatedtoProtectedHealthInformation(PHI).
- IfaHIPAAviolationisdiscovered,whetherindividuallyorbyanother,youmustreporttheviolationtotheComplianceOfficer and/or HumanResources.
- Attend,complete,anddemonstratecompetencyinallrequiredHIPAATrainingofferedbythecompany.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, hourly position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional after-hours or weekend duties.

Required Education and Experience
- HighSchoolorequivalent.
- CertifiedPharmacyTechnicianLicense.
- Oneyearpharmacytechnician.
- One year customer service.
