Job Description

Job Description
Location: Meridian, Idaho
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15–20 hours per week, flexible around college classes
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience

About the Opportunity

Are you a college student studying business, management, finance, entrepreneurship, or a related field? Would you like the opportunity to gain real-world business experience working directly with an entrepreneur who owns and operates multiple companies?

We are looking for a motivated, organized, and resourceful individual to serve as a part-time Executive Assistant to the owner of several businesses operating in healthcare, laboratory testing, accessibility solutions, and commercial real estate.

This is not a typical administrative assistant position. You will have the opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to business operations, financial analysis, marketing, sales, management, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, organize priorities, and follow up on action items.
  • Research & Analysis: Research business opportunities, potential customers, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Sales & Business Development Support: Help identify prospective clients, research decision-makers, maintain contact information, and track follow-up activities.
  • Financial & Operational Reporting: Assist with spreadsheets, reports, performance metrics, and business analysis.
  • Project Coordination: Track projects, deadlines, and assignments across multiple businesses.
  • Communications: Draft professional emails, prepare documents, and coordinate with employees, vendors, and business contacts.
  • Process Improvement: Help identify ways to improve organization, efficiency, and productivity.
Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is currently pursuing a degree in business, finance, management, entrepreneurship, or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is comfortable using Excel, Word, and other business software.
  • Is interested in using AI and modern technology to improve business productivity.
  • Can work independently, solve problems, and take initiative.
  • Is comfortable handling confidential business information.
  • Enjoys learning and is interested in how successful businesses operate.
What Makes This Opportunity Unique?

You will work directly with an experienced business owner who has a background in engineering, business management, and entrepreneurship.

Rather than working in a single department, you will gain exposure to the challenges and opportunities of operating multiple businesses.

For someone considering a future career in business management, entrepreneurship, consulting, or business ownership, this position offers valuable practical experience and mentorship.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief introduction explaining:

  1. What interests you about business and entrepreneurship?
  2. What skills or experiences would make you effective in this role?
  3. What is an example of a time you took initiative to solve a problem?
We are more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, curiosity, and work ethic than someone with extensive previous experience.
