Structural Drafter

Position Overview

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in structural design and drafting. The Revit Technician will support Structural Engineers and Architects by creating and updating drawings for commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects. The ideal candidate has been exposed to Revit through school, internships, or previous drafting experience and is looking to continue developing their technical skills while learning from experienced professionals.

• Create and revise construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Assist engineers and architects with project drafting and drawing updates
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions into project documents
• Help develop floor plans, foundation plans, sections, details, and structural drawings
• Maintain organized project files and drafting standards
• Participate in project coordination with engineering and architectural teams
• Support quality checks and drawing reviews before project delivery

• Experience with Revit (school projects, internship, or professional experience)
• Basic AutoCAD knowledge
• Understanding of construction drawings and drafting principles
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Drafting, or a related field
• Internship or coursework involving Revit and construction documentation
• Exposure to structural, architectural, or construction projects
• Interest in structural engineering and design

This role is designed for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on Revit experience, learn from licensed professionals, and grow into more advanced design and drafting responsibilities over time.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
