POSITION SUMMARY:

The Pharmacy Manager of Hematology/Oncology is responsible for leading, supporting, and managing the oncology pharmacy team at Boston Medical Center. The Manager is also responsible for the development of strategies and initiatives for the department to improve patient care and satisfaction along with development of department-wide goal setting. The role involves ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, departmental policies and procedures, mission and value statements, and hospital core beliefs, while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety, and managing pharmacy staff. The Manager collaborates with hospital leaders within and outside of pharmacy, develops strategic goals, and promotes a healthy and efficient work environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have completed a degree in Pharmacy (Bachelor’s or PharmD).
  • Experience:
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Pharmacy Specialty or HSPAL Residency or
  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and 2 years of pertinent experience or
  • 4 years of pertinent experience

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

Work requires licensure as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the hire date.

Must-Have Requirements

  1. Must have completed a degree in Pharmacy (Bachelor’s or PharmD).
  2. PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and PGY-2 Pharmacy Specialty or HSPAL Residency or PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and 2 years of pertinent experience or 4 years of pertinent experience
  3. Licensed as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts by the hire date.
